Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the tools and the marketplace. Last updated August 11, 2026.

Information we collect

For the free tools, we process the keywords and domains you enter to return results, along with basic, rate-limiting request data. You can use these tools without creating an account. If you list a domain, we collect the email address you sign in with and the details you choose to publish (domain, price, description, and your payment links). Seller email addresses are stored encrypted at rest (AES-256) and are never displayed publicly.

Sales-page analytics

When someone visits a seller's public sales page, we record anonymised visit statistics so the seller can gauge interest: approximate location (country and city), device type, referring source, time spent on the page, and intent signals such as clicking Buy Now or starting an offer. We do not store raw IP addresses — each visitor is identified only by a one-way hashed token, and approximate location is derived at collection time. These stats are visible only to the domain's verified owner.

Cookies

We use a single signed cookie to keep sellers logged in to their dashboard. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Clearing the cookie signs you out.

How we use information

We use it to operate the tools, verify domain ownership, relay buyer enquiries to sellers, show sellers their own analytics, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.

Third-party services

To deliver the service we rely on a hosting provider, an email-delivery provider for verification and notification messages, and public data sources for WHOIS, availability, and approximate IP geolocation. These providers process data only to perform their function.

Data retention & your rights

Listings and their analytics are retained while the listing is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. You can remove a listing at any time from its manage page, and you can request deletion of your seller account and associated data. To make a request, email contact@domainnamesportal.com.
